In an industry where more than 80% of the workforce is male perhaps it isn't surprising that so many women feel wary and ill at ease when shopping for garage services like MOT's, repairs and car servicing. We have all read stories about female motorists being overcharged and patronised, usually by men who know best, but who don't bother to listen first or try to understand her needs and concerns.
