Comments: I was very pleased to know that the DVR centre offer a late night for ladies. They explained all the details clearly so I could understand. They also offered to pick up and drop off my car. Highly recommended as the staff could not do enough for me.

Comments: They are very helpful, doing my service plus extras within the very short window that I had free. They gave me a lift to my next appointment and have promised a discount on my MOT. They weren't very clear about what exactly "female friendly" meant, but did comment that women are more honest about how much they know about cars - men often don't admit their ignorance. I did not feel patronised at any stage, which is quite unusual at a garage or computer shop!

Comments: This garage offered to unstick a jammed seatbelt and rang to tell me the car was ready, but when I went to collect it, the car was not there. It had apparently been taken on an hour-long 'test drive'. I asked why and was told I didn't understand the first thing about cars. When the car was finally returned to me I felt in a very uncomfortable position with an extremely abusive man. In the end I wasn't charged, but I felt very unsafe and have had a horrible experience. I would strongly advise people not to use this garage - especially a woman like me!

Comments: Always happy to do basic checks like fluid levels and tyre pressures as well as providing a friendly, reliable and reasonably priced service generally. Main contact in the office is a helpful and knowledgeable lady. Recommended by a local AA engineer. I've been using them for 10 years for MOT and service as well as occasional problems and tyre replacement and I would never go anywhere else now.

Comments: Very friendly and helpful. I was told I needed a clutch by a well known fast fit centre and also 2 shock absorbers and 3 tyres (thank you Kwik Fit). Went to PJS Garage having been recommended for a service...clutch adjusted FOC, shock absorbers are OK and tyres have 3-4mm left on them. The full service was the cheapest I have had and very comprehensive. Thank you PJS for being honest!

Comments: Excellent personable service throughout. Car repaired to a very high standard. Communication was excellent. Flexible and accommodating with work patterns. Comments: I would thoroughly recommend the garage to any lone female. My car was looked at immediately although I was just passing by. I was shown what was wrong with it and had it explained to me. When it was returned it had been cleaned too! All staff were helpful and polite. I was given a lift to and from the garage.

I used to feel intimidated going into a garage but the guys at Wrench are always friendly and welcoming. Comments: I'm a regular customer and Lance, the owner, will often do 'little' jobs for nothing as he is a fellow cyclist/motorcyclist. He recently replaced the rear passenger window for free (I had sourced my own window from the breakers). Its a good, old-fashioned, family business too.

Comments: I've been going to Mick at Autoworks for a few years following my daughter's recommendation. I've always found him and all his staff very helpful. Nothing's too much trouble. He's serviced 3 cars for me now and actually found me my last car. My previous car died and the AA took me back to Autoworks on a Saturday morning. Mick arranged to scrap the car and found me a replacement vehicle within budget. He was delayed by a day getting the car serviced for me due to staff sickness so he drove the car up to Oldham for me at no extra cost. Truly exceptional service. I recommend Autoworks highly. PS Cleanliness - this is a workshop rather than a garage but it's absolutely fine for its purpose.

Comments: Its a garage, I wouldn't expect it to be clean! I can't rate this place enough, I hate having to go to garages but I never feel intimidated here. They also are very honest, no pressure, I had a service and was advised I would need new brakes but not for another 2k miles; some garages would have said I needed them there and then. I now have my sister go there as well. When i was looking to buy a car I suggested what I was looking at and they advised me against it, as that one always had things go wrong. They advised me which car would have the least return trips to the garage - brilliant service.

Comments: This is the second time I have visited this dealership and it is so refreshing to have happy, helpful people that give the impression that they are totally committed to help. They explained everything clearly and not once did I feel uncomfortable as a women. Their service advisor, Hollie, was friendly, professional and lovely to deal with. Educational - first time underneath a car. Came to collect the car through bad snow drifts to replace the battery, so it would be ready when I could get out again.

Comments: I visited this garage last month and found a lovely welcome. The two boys were friendly, welcoming and above all else totally transparent. I could see through the window in the waiting area, they were not afraid for me to see what they were doing, they explained what they had done and showed me the parts that they had changed. Comments: I was really impressed with 3 Cross MOT Centre. They were very friendly and welcoming - as a woman sometimes it can be intimidating visiting a garage. Comments: I called this garage after a friend recommended them. I had a rattle underneath my car and it did seem to take a while to fix as they said it wasn't obvious. When I asked how much it was, they replied, just put a bit of change in the charity box, that would be fine.

Comments: This garage outwardly seems a very male orientated place, but attitudes were professional and once the MOT was completed the staff were then chatty. It could be made better for women with an area where you know someone hasn't sat down before you in dirty overalls. There is a seating area but I was wearing white cut-offs on a hot day and so a separate area for clean and a separate area for oily clothes would be a good idea...just a thought, I will go back though as I feel this garage deserves support.

Comments: Supposedly a head gasket, quoted at £350, which I could barely afford, now ended up with a completely undriveable wreck needing a new engine, and a possible bill from this garage of over £2,000. And they hired my transporter trailer twice, to carry customers cars etc, for over three weeks, and refused to pay for it. What a disgusting way to treat a widow. Garages like this should be closed down.
